UNIVERSITY ESTABLISHMENT AND DEVELOPMENT OF ACTIVITES

 

• The 2nd floor of the administrative building of  Gulbarga University provided to the Central University of Karnataka for its   activities.

• University has inducted staff on Deputation, direct recruitment, contract and visiting basis.

• Administrative Offices of Vice Chancellor and Special Officers (Administration and Examinations) and academic   staff functional.

• Recruitment of teaching & non-teaching staff initiated.

• Statutory bodies (Academic and Executive Councils) constituted.

• Selection of Registrar and Finance Officer made.  Recommendations forwarded to Visitor for approval and appointment.

•  Initial set up of Library and Computer lab completed.

• 621acres of land at Kadaganchi Suntanur villages on the Gulbarga Waghdhari Inter State Highway in   Aland taluka identified by the Karnataka State Government. Land has been handed over to the University.

• Construction of boundary wall nearly complete

• Architect and project management consultant finalised. Ist phase of campus development to begin soon.

DESIGNING AND DEVELOPING ACADEMIC PROGRAMMES
University initiated the work of identifying suitable programmes  to be launched by initiating a process of consultation   with distinguished academics in various parts of the country.

• Inputs and suggestions received through consultations was put together and presented by the University in a   Consultative Meeting of Experts conducted at NAAC office, Bangalore on 21st and 22nd June 2009.

• Courses planned on Choice Based Credit System on semester pattern.

• Syllabi produced by experts as members of Ad-Hoc   Boards of  Studies constituted by the University for this   purpose.

• Organised a National Seminar on 'Sharana Mystic and Sufi Traditions of the Deccan' on 5th and 6th March, 2010 in collaboration   with Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi and Gulbarga University, Gulbarga.
