Every paper in a course has continuous internal assessment (including sessionals) and end semester examinations with marks divided in the ratio of 40 : 60 respectively. A candidate has to secure a minimum of 40 percent of marks cumulatively in each paper of a course taken to pass in that course. A candidate who has not secured a minimum of 40 percent of marks in any paper of that course shall be deemed to have failed in that course.
A student with arrears can repeat End semester examinations for a maximum of three times (excluding the first appearance), along with the subsequent End semester examinations. The Sessional Marks obtained by the student will be carried over for declaring the result. A student cannot repeat the End Semester examination in a course in which he / she has passed to improve the score.
